Farm hackers and road riders, it’s time to learn the art of trail riding – if you’ve got clutch control, are competent on 2 wheels with the desire to progress and challenge yourself – this is for you.
On our 650acre property that climbs high above Queenstown, we’ll challenge you on ever increasingly difficult terrain until you’ve realised you’re capable of a lot more than you thought! Exciting, scary, fun & adrenaline-inducing – this one is for those that want to RIDE!

Learn 2 Ride – Dirt Bike Tour
Ever wanted to learn how to scrub it like Bubba? Us too.. But we can teach you how to ride a dirt bike pretty well.
This 1.5hr tour is designed to teach you the basic aspects of clutch/throttle control, balance and weight placement when riding dirt bikes – suited to confident, physically fit & persistent adventure seekers. There won’t be any hill climbs or gap jumps on this one, but the photos will look sick & you’ll have learned a new skill by the end of it!

Duration: 1.5/2 hours
Departs: 9am, 1pm
Tracks: Gorge base
Suitable for: Beginners & those wanting to progress
You should know…
Confirmed tours will depart from our shop in central Queenstown (61A Shotover Street).
Please check in at least 10mins before your departure time.
Please be aware parking on Shotover Street is limited to 30 minutes, and there’s no parking directly in front of our shop. We recommend using the Man Street multi-story carpark, just a two-minute walk away. Alternatively, you’re welcome to follow us out to our location, about 5 minutes from town, where there’s plenty of parking available.
For Learn 2 Ride tours, we like to keep the numbers small and intimate.
For Let’s Ride tours, up to 10 riders can be accommodated for with multiple guides.
For larger bookings, please call the shop.
We just require 2 riders at our online booking price – for solo riders, please call the shop
Both Learn 2 Ride and Let’s Ride tours have a minimum age of 10 years old. However, riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Learning to ride a dirt bike can be difficult, a high level of fitness and can-do attitude it required. It is not recommended for those with back problems, medical conditions or injuries that might affect your ability to stay balanced on the bike.
All tours must be pre-booked
Full MX gear including:
- MX Boots
- MX Jersey & Pants
- Full face helmet
- Gloves
- Knee/Shin pads
- Chest Protector
- Kidney Belt
- Etc
- Dress for the conditions in clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dusty
- Bring any drinks and snacks you need for the duration of the tour
- Camera if you would like to take your own photos
Learning to ride a dirt bike in torrential rain would be near impossible for first timers.
For Intermediate and above riders, we don’t mind bookings tours in the wet season, but for Beginners and when icy – we reserve the right to amend/cancel bookings due to safety concerns.
Bookings of 2 to 8 guests are subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy. Larger groups are subject to a seven-day cancellation policy. No refunds will be given for cancellations or reductions in guest numbers within these timeframes. Rescheduling is not possible within these periods.
